Analog mail

DSC_0452Is that a proper name for a letter these days? Just got one today from a dear friend with whom I’ve been exchanging letters for past 15 years.I think we had around a kilo of letters each after 10 years. Now intensity has decreased in past few years (there were times when we would write two letters a week) but we still write. And I love it. There is something special about traditional letters, the fact that they are not instant like nearly everything else these days. And always little dated when received. They require a little bit more effort than writing an e-mail – finding a piece of paper to start with, thinking before you put a pen to paper (no backspace;),finding an envelope and stamp and posting it at the end.Just wondering how many people still write letters?
