Day 5 Ponte de Lima – Quinta Estrada Romano (Jun 21)

We were up eaDSC_0514rly, quite tired after disturbed sleep at night. We had no coffee, hoping against hope we will get some fuel before we have to climb up that hill. It was a long climb. I didn’t even feel like taking my camera out. We got to the top of the hill. My ankles were really swollen, took my boots off and lied down for a while but there was no improvement. We kept walking. It seemed like a very long day. We have passed two albergues in Rubiaes. Stopped for a while in Fontoura. And then literally dragged our feet to new private albergue Quinta Estrada Romano.

The place is very new, work still in progress but we gota very warm welcomed. Jessica and Nuno made sure we felt at home. Laundry was done and we were ordered to rest while the dinner was being prepared.
